Oily Skin

If you have very oily skin, you tend to:
• Experience frequent outbreaks of acne
• Possess a sheen that lasts throughout the day
• Feel the need constantly to blot your face
For most people, oily skin is more common around puberty, thanks in part to raging hormones; however, oil—also known as sebum—is continuously produced by the sebaceous glands, and many people may find that their skin continues to be oily well beyond the high school years.
While sebum can be a good thing—it helps seal in moisture, which is what keeps your skin plump and hydrated—too much of it isn’t always good.
